AROSE is a scholarship and youth development foundation for Black and Brown youth from communities of trauma.
We focus on bridging the opportunity gap through post-secondary scholarships, support services, and community outreach initiatives.
The AROSE Scholars Program is our flagship initiative supporting Black and Brown high school graduates from communities of trauma pursuing higher education. Since 2019, we’ve awarded $181,500 in scholarships to 34 scholars, empowering them to emerge from their trauma, elevate to higher heights, and become the next generation of leaders.
Money Talks is a collection of financial education summits tailored for high school students and parents, equipping them with knowledge, tools, and strategies for academic, career, and life successes.
The A.R.E Program empowers middle and high school students from trauma-impacted communities by integrating arts, recreation, and entertainment to foster creativity, build confidence, and promote resilience.
The Annual Community Trunk Party is a family-friendly celebration for students starting their next educational journeys. College and trade school students receive essential post-secondary living items, while elementary and high school students get back-to-school supplies.
The AROSE Scholarship Soiree is our annual celebration of the foundation’s accomplishments and community leaders who empower the next generation of Black and Brown youth. This elegant evening serves as the signature fundraiser for the AROSE Scholars Program.
